Mission 18 - Malta

18 is the maximum number of countries you can have on the bar without totally covering the "Main menu" return option. Scrollbar upgrade is much needed!

Anyone get ahold of DreamTwisters mods before his site went off line? Some of these sound pretty interesting, and I'd like to try em out while waiting for Dem2.

None of the links work.. and I don't understand how to create new policies and dilemmas.

What the hell is with all the _random0,0.1,0.4*x39825723985yu9283yt9238ht9023t98j3 crap?!

I want a 'The nation is demanding we leave the EU due to our sovereignty being slowly stripped away, I support this position.." and

"The EU is a source of income and global stability" blah blah blah dilemma thing.

How would I do it? I've read the instructions, but they're not very helpful. They don't tell you what the random0 blah blah crap is all about..

For example...

[dilemma]
name = AppointWelfareMinister"
guiname = "Appoint Welfare Minister"
description = "The minister for welfare has resigned due to ill health and a replacement is needed. There are two potential candidates for the job, one perceived as weak and one strong. Voters will read a lot into who you pick in terms of how important you consider welfare to be for your citizens."

[influences]
0 = "_random_,0.2,0.9"

[option0]
Name="Appoint <MaleName>"
Description = "<MaleName> has worked all his life as a strong campaigner for the right to state support for the poor and the needy. He believes strongly in the idea of a 'safety net' for the less well off. He is also a very able politician, and will be able to push forward his pro-welfare agenda very strongly."

[option1]
Name="Appoint <FemaleName>"
Description = "<FemaleName> is seen as a fairly 'soft' politician, with little influence and few political allies. Its unlikely that she will be able to push forward any radical welfare policies should she get the job."

[option0Effects]
0 = "Socialist,0.09"
1 = "Poor,0.03"
2 = "Capitalist,-0.05"

[option1Effects]
0 = "Socialist,-0.03"
1 = "Capitalist,0.03"

I really don't get it...

Smiley, most of the posts in this forum are to do with Democracy 1, not Democracy 2.

Oh, right then. I guess the random factor would be just that - a random factor. It means that there will be some variation in when it occurs. A high value will make it more random.

Is there a central list of mods for D1 available anywhere? I can only find a few on the main site, and I would have thought there'd be loads more. Or are they only available once you've got the full version?
