Expansion packs

Postby Demosthenex » Thu Jan 05, 2012 5:57 am

Sorry, I'm hooked.

I bought the Linux version with the Humble Indy Bundle, and prompt bought all the expansions. I installed the Windows version on my home system to see if they work, and they look awesome.

I hoped I could play them with the Linux version, is there any planned support?

I tried copying over the installed files to Linux, but though the races all show up (and the campaign mode!) most of the graphics show up as white boxes.

Suggestions?

Read http://www.positech.co.uk/forums/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6842 (which was the top thread in the forum when you posted this). According to http://www.positech.co.uk/forums/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6842#p54077 (last post in that thread as of this time) the instructions in there work. The instructions do require a Windows pc (so they won't work for me), but as you stated you have the expansions working on Windows so that shouldn't be an issue for you.

That was my error, I didn't identify DLC as the expansion packs. Thanks.

Hello,
firstly, I use Wine (as my PC is only under Linux) in order to install the D.L.Cs (and GSB) and then I used my native Linux installation in order to copy and modify the right directories.
