Mac crash on start, after reinstall.

Hi, I bought GSB for my second steam account yesterday, and was playing with tons of mods installed, until it started getting errors. So I reinstalled, deleted everything from the steam directory folder for GSB. However, upon trying to start the game, I received a kernel error. I reinstalled again, same problem. Several reinstalls and restarts later, I have no idea what to do. Can anyone offer some advice?

for various reasons I avoid steam, so I am not an expert at resolving issues when it comes to games running off steam.
(and I also have not used a mac so I am not familiar with the port from Red Marble Games)

So for what its worth, here are my suggestions:
1) There are a few other debug files along with the one you posted. Do they say anything about missing module or ship ? If that is the case then one of the ships you built using modded content is still hanging around and causing an error. Reason why I ask is that sometimes the error messages are misleading

2) as much as I do not like steam, it has a nice feature of revalidating a game. Have you tried that ?

If neither of these 2 suggestions help could you please step us through the error.

For example:
- Start GSB
- Error message on screen which reads "all your bases are belong to us"
- Game Crash with Kernel error
Wisdom is something you generally obtain around three seconds after you needed it the most

ok redacting all of this because I had just asked if you were using windows, sorry I don't do macs I can't help

what i can suggest is to get in touch with red marble games, as they produced the mac port of the game
having a job has allowed me to understand why Archduke Astro has no time to work on his mods

Alright
So I click 'Play' on Steam, and it launches the game. I get the main menu screen, without the buttons, then BAM, it crashes immediately.
uh-oh.
Now when i try to start the game it simply says 'completing installation' in a steam window and is frozen.
GAHHHH.
I better just contact Red Marble, this is driving me crazy.

They can sometimes be quite slow in replying, so make sure to follow-up with them.
They are the ONLY official entity who can help you with problems in the Mac OS X port of GSB1.
