Re: Unable to jog?

Jogging is definitely still implemented, but you can't do it if your energy is too low. So if your job's wearing you out, try checking again on Sunday to see if the option's available then.

Re: Gun control

Pretty sure that private ownership of handguns isn't going to keep one safe from the mafia . Plus, as long as there's any gun control, the "criminals will have access to the guns that the rest of us don't" conclusion still follows--and yet, oddly enough, we aren't currently being terrorize...

Re: GSB for Mac?

I don't suppose anyone's tried running the demo on a mac yet?
I have parallels, but sometimes it gets confused (particularly about the video settings), and am wondering whether I'd be better off waiting for the port, assuming I have the patience

I'm not entirely sure who you think my forefathers were, exactly. Perhaps you're threatening to make me harvest your fields? Either way, you have my apologies; I'll try to maintain higher standards of reasoning and discourse.

Re: This game doesn't let you play as a capitalist.

Luckily, the game is easily moddable, so you can make a policy titled "Privatize everything," and possibly a dialogue box that pops up saying "You win! No longer fettered by the dictates of all those 'credible' mainstream economic theories, you are now the leader of a magical utopia! ...

Re: Why care about the Vice President?

Still, is there something special about, say, Vermont and Delaware, that requires that their interests need to be protected out of proportion with their population, but not, for example, upstate New York? I mean, I definitely agree with the principle; we want to avoid the tyranny of the majority and...

I'm curious; are you really comparing him to Saddam, or is there some other legitimate basis for referring to him as such? Because when I hear people calling attention to his middle name, I have a hard time seeing it as anything other than an attempt to stir up bigoted antipathy.

Re: New screenshot

It's hard to say without seeing everything in motion, but there might be slightly too much overlap between the ships. It's a fine line; I'm actually not altogether sure where my preferences fall in that regard. The ships and energy and backgrounds themselves all look fantastic (if you were to add an...

Re: Knowledge(IQ)

Knowledge(IQ) is more of a "current events" thing, like a less culturey version of Knowledge(culture). The quickest solution is to watch the international news, and pick up a news magazine whenever you go shopping, though both of these will affect your happiness. If I'm not mistaken, a bro...

Re: Gun control in USA

I didn't much want to get into this, but I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to. Are you talking about the D.C. vs. Heller case? Because even if crime has gone down in the months since that decision (I didn't find any defense of this claim in your links, and frankly I think it's too soon to t...

Re: Gun control in USA

Criminals don't think "Hey, now that I have a gun, I can start doing crime!" at all. They are often already committing crimes. Yeah, but they're not committing crimes nearly as well (as a consequence of this, one might also expect that they're committing crimes less frequently and less vi...

Re: Friends Disrespect Romances

Well, since the people your friends invite are all friends of theirs, you can make sure that your SO is friends with as many of your other friends as possible. But mainly it's a matter of keeping your friendships and relationship strong enough that the occasional snubbing won't cause someone to leav...
