After beating a campaign, there's really no on the map indicators, you just adjust based on the turn summary and have a fleet ready for attacks on your front line planets.

So in the campaign, planets have a threat meter that increases by an unknown amount for each connected hostile planet. I'm a mix of Yurch and Follick's replies.

I always look for a named challenge, not a spammed generic taunt one. I also like to see new strategies for fleets and/or ship designs to learn how to improve my own. I've discovered a lot of interesting tactics and builds from other challenges.

When you capture a shipyard, do you gain access to certain hulls, or all of the hulls of a race? 1) Quantum Blasters are not a good choice. I intend to rectify this by raising its armor penetration from 14 to 18, which raises it above the cruiser laser, and maybe slightly reducing the cost. I think bumping the damage to 9 or 10 and/or slightly reducing cost would help more than an armor pen buf...

Cruiser beams are good against frigates and cruisers with their shields down, so it's more of a finisher weapon vs. cruisers. That's why I normally don't put more than two on a cruiser design unless I'm fighting the Tribe. While Megaton missiles have high penetration and damage numbers, the tracking...
