Re: Current Balance changes Thread

I love the Tribe. I think I've had the most fun making fleets for them (and naming them with hippy names). Maybe this is because I am pretty much a real life hippy, lol. From a balance perspective, I just wish anti-missile defense was a little better. As it is I cannot beat a 100% missile spam fleet...

Re: Visual artifacts on the right edge of the screen

Note: This didn't happen with my old Nvidia 9600 GSO card, but that had the newest Nvidia drivers.. Let me install the newest drivers from Nvidia for the 9800 GT

Re: Survival mode difficulty increases too slowly?

Varying the builds that hit us will help significantly Cliff. Also, hitting us with larger waves that are closely packed also helps. I'd also suggest using weapons platform designs more. Ships designed primarily to carry loads of long ranged weapons but with poor defense that are slightly slower tha...

Visual artifacts on the right edge of the screen

I am at 1680X1050 resolution with an Nvidia 9800 GT card with 512k ram and the system has 2 gigs DDR3. When ever I move the screen around in the battle I see A colored fuzz along the right side of the screen.

Re: [1.16] Orion ambush survival crash at 680.000 points

Agreed, I would be willing to deal with fewer piles of steaming wreckage. Maybe sometimes in a big reactor explosion the ship could just be vaporized: that would be cool.

Re: Missile jamming?

Also the ECM shock could easily become simply: "Shock beam" Or Targeting Shock Beam or something similar. It's not really an ECM per se. BTW, I LOVE the ECM beam, (which could also be 'Haywire Beam' or "Jamming Beam") but I find it might be a tad too good. As soon as I know the e...

Re: I just noticed...

They are beautiful.. but all bilaterally symetrical... Why is that? Is it a purposeful choice? I honestly am interested.. because I find the best, most alien looking (and interesting) ships to be lopsided in one way or another.

Re: [1.16] Various bugs

I was noticing last night that when I tried to design a new ship by clicking the 'new' button on the deployment screen that only two of the races hull names showed up. I am not sure if this has been fixed or not.

Re: [1.16] Challenges allows use of too large fleets

Odd.. well maybe I just don't get how it works. then :D I must also admit to be frustrated with the challenge interface.. I can't seem to find where to create a new challenge from scratch. All I can see how to do is to respond to an existing challenge by creating another challenge using the same map...

Re: [1.16] Challenges allows use of too large fleets

Hmmm.. Maybe I am wrong. It just seems like it wouldn't do that before.. i.e. we would have 25000 and his fleet would be that, but I was able to start with 37000

[1.16] Challenges allows use of too large fleets

I was able to load a fleet and start a challenge.. only when I got into the game did I realize I had deployed twice the points as my opponent

... If you are covered by your employer, you will probably say how great your coverage is, but ask your employer about the increases each year. You will be shocked by how much they are paying compared to you.... Absolutely Correct. My US employer started putting out 'total compensation' statements ...
