Spirited Heart

I just tried the demo of Spirited Heart . My, what an UNfun game. It reminded me a lot of Cute Knight , except that it was a lot less fun. I think part of it was that job performance felt completely unfair. In Cute Knight , job performance is based on your skills, so it makes sense and feels fair. I...

Re: Movie Night!

This looks like fun, but some of it has been cut off at the end of lines -- you might want to edit your post so that the whole thing is visible.

Re: stress level

The cat and the fish are especially great because they don't cost much and don't take up one of your scarce time slots.

I think it's weird that excitement goes down, though. Being a junior doctor seems as if it would be pretty damned exciting -- the job isn't old hat yet.

Re: Escalating Price of Romance

But, I've never been to a restaurant with a sliding scale! The game assumes that I'm taking my girlfriend to more expensive places, now that I earn more money? Heck, I usually go out for pizza, which costs all of $10 -- I guess I'm not romantic enough. :-)

Escalating Price of Romance

The first time I took my girlfriend out to a romantic dinner, it was reasonably priced. The next time I took her, the price had risen by roughly $10. The third time I thought about taking her to dinner, the price had risen yet again. Is this an intentional feature -- and if so, could you explain it ...

Re: Couple bugs, suggestions

I agree that there's a big emphasis on alcohol that I wish weren't there. I haven't changed the restaurants or the birthday party yet, but it is possible to get friends that have no alcohol interests, and it's possible to never get invited to go drink beer or wine. In your interests.csv file, cut th...

Re: Social activities to do at home

As I said, they wouldn't fit on the forum in the format in which they should be used. When you copy the stuff to your social_events.csv, make sure there are no spaces or line breaks -- I had to put some in to get it to show up on the forum. Here, I'll show you what to do in each case: #,GAME,boardga...

More Social Activities

In real life, I don't drink or gamble, and I'm always annoyed when my character has friends who have strong interests in alcohol or gambling. Then I remembered that I'm not limited to adding things to the game, I can also take them out. Once I removed alcohol, beer, wine, gambling, and roulette as i...

Re: Activities to do at home

These look really cool. Thanks! ideally you could add some boardgames as stuff to buy in the store and make playing them dependent on owning some :D. If I can figure out how to do that, I'll do it for the darts. Everybody I know has board games just sort of kicking around the house; it's like every...

Social activities to do at home

My dog gets really unhappy if I go out in the evenings, and since I spend all day at work, I can't blame her for wanting some companionship. But my friends get snippy if I don't spend time with them. What to do? Create more social events that take place in my home, that's what! :-) These are intende...

Re: Jealous Significant Other...solution?

I set up a social event and make SURE to invite my girlfriend. She says she doesn't feel like doing that, then calls to complain that I spent time with someone else. If I invited her to join us and she turned me down, it doesn't make any sense at all for her to call me up and act like I'm sneaking a...

Re: Monthly dentist visits?

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing; it seems like my character always has to go to the dentist. I guess five days is a month, so time goes by quickly, but it still seems as if she goes four times a year.
