Re: Help with Auto Intallment

Yes, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with Vista. I don't use Vista myself. Much prefer XP. Have you tried running the auto-installer in compatibility mode or with the run as admin option ticked? Other than that I'm afraid you'll have to follow the instructions for manual installation. Sorry ab...

Re: Modding cabinet members etc

You can't really do that, no. The sympathies are random, so you can't mod those. The pictures - I suppose you could overwrite the pictures in the \Program Files\Democracy2\data\bitmaps\ministers\ folders with your own pictures, although I haven't tried it. The names you can change, sort of. Democrac...

Re: UK and the EU - better off out?

I disagree. The EU is unlikely to become authoritarian because there are so many checks and balances in place. No single institution could seize control and implement authoritarian measures without the others holding it in check. To me, the argument that the EU will become bureaucratic, overly-comp...

Re: UK and the EU - better off out?

I don't think you're right about that. Are you getting that from the article or somewhere else? Christopher Booker's article says that the parliament rejected the proposal that electronic voting would be mandatory for all votes. Re: How to increase party membership

People will join your party after they have supported it for a period of time. Therefore, you simply need to get support and retain it.

Re: Modding...making your own policy

This error means that the picture associated with the policy is missing. Have you created a picture (.dds file) for the policy? If so, check that the filename corresponds to the one in your policy file.

Re: UK and the EU - better off out?

But Qualified Majority Voting actually leaves the UK at a significant advantage - especially if the population forecast figures for the EU are accurate. The UK will have the biggest population in Europe, giving it more voting power (because a qualified majority needs to be a majority of countries a...

Re: Monarchy?

What taxes would you raise in order to cut inheritance tax? One thing I've learnt from playing your game, Cliff, is that only Income Tax, Corporation Tax and Sales Tax bring in significant amounts of money. Even adding up all the other taxes together, the amount raised from them is negligible. I wo...

Re: Monarchy?

On the subject of inheritance tax, I strongly oppose it. Surely anything we acquire through our hard work we should be able to do what we wish with? If I came to you, Cliff, and started telling you what to do with your proceeds from the sale of Kudos 2, I don't think you would be too impressed. If I...
